Love At The Speed of Light

A song about particle physics and thwarted love? Sure. lyrics: two particles, flying through space each saw the other's face and oh, they knew that it was love one particle spoke to the other's heart my parents are sure to tear us apart until you looked at me i acted as a wave and they believe that wave/particle love is depraved CHORUS: those particles passed at the speed of light but they still felt the spark that night of affection microscopic, perfect, and pure is it love? i'm not positive but i'm relatively sure their star-crossed regard, it flourished and grew as through each other's paths they flew it was destiny, for two so small to meet in the vastness of space, where there's so much to see velocity soon broke their hearts as their trajectory tore them apart and their timelines ripped themselves in twain neither knew the nature of spacetime was to blame their love letters that they both sent at the same time, meant to lament their distance, they each arrived to late their speeds combined with their opposite paths meant inadvertently they had just entered a specific paradox and out of sync, they were forever locked and as their love, it grew too hard the particles decided to part to retain sweet memories of love i don't pretend that I understand the physics of the tragedy at hand but i know it happened just this way their story rings through everything we're all made up of love and strings looking for answers in this muddled haze and we falter all throughout our days
